What is
LegallyMADD?

We publish articles about the legal world: breaking down the principles of complex law to help our audience better understand their rights, keep them up to date about current affairs and how the law relates to them, dissecting pieces of law from every aspect of our lives.

Who are
we?

Two aspiring young lawyers who acknowledge the lack of legal literacy amongst the general public, particularly our peers.

We acknowledge the increasing problem of ignorance when it comes to reading lengthy articles in order to gain better understanding so we aim to make learning the necessities of the law as accessible and enjoyable as possible

Milla Chong

Zodiac Sign: Aquarius
Fave Movie: Ocean's 8
Fun Food: Sushi

A jack of all trades, Milla never fails to bring her best to everything. Be it as an artist with vibrant works, or as an adept football player quick on her feet, she continues to shine, earning her nickname as “Millie Rockerz”! With her many talents, she’s adventurous in her ambitions, taking on every challenge head on, with little to no hesitations. In fact, her confidence in her abilities led to the birth of LegallyMadd and her college Law Review, with plans and actions put forth after brief discussions with Nadia over coffee!

Milla is the perfect embodiment of intersectionality, bringing her diverse life experiences into her work, which is prevalent in her mission to increase legal literacy. Be it her internship with the local government, or this very LegallyMadd page, she bridges the gap between law and life! Through her dynamic presence and commitment, Milla inspires those around her to pursue their passions with the same vigour and resilience she demonstrates daily.

Nadia Nasir

Zodiac Sign: Aquarius
Fave Movie: La La Land
Fun Food: Tiramisu

Often (affectionately) called a yapper, Nadia always has something to say. Whether it be her opinion on issues arising in the world, or an overthinker’s rant on song lyrics, she always has something to offer to the conversation. She’s taken her strong convictions and quick value judgement into a relatively successful career in debate. After winning her first World title from the World Junior School Debate Championships at age 13, and being finalists at Oxford Regionals, and various national-level tournaments, she has made her move into coaching school teams and organising inter-school tournaments.

Her love for language, and frankly argument, transcends the verbal domain and extends into written advocacy. With that, she started her writing journey with articles for school yearbooks and newsletters, and now writes not only for her college Law Review (which she also Co-Founded with Milla!), as well as for her own substack page!
